DOUGHERTY -- Services for Eva R. McMillan, 81, will be at 10 am. today, Aug. 10, 2006, at Dougherty Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Chapman officiating. Interment will be at Dougherty Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home.

Born on Aug. 20, 1924, in Dougherty to Arthur Stringfellow and Lela Swindle, she died on Aug. 7, 2006, in Sulphur.

She married Grover L. McMillan on Jan. 14, 1947, in Columbus, Kan. He preceded her in death on Aug. 16, 1994. She was also preceded by her parents.

A lifetime resident of the Dougherty area, she attended school here and at Sulphur and was a member of Dougherty Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Anita and Ronnie Giddens, Lone Grove, Jo Ann and Willie Busby, Davis, Sandra and Gordon Dowling, Hayden, Colo.; a son, Carl McMillan, Ada; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

Bearers will be Donnie Busby, Terry Busby, Russ Busby, Chris Giddens, Brian Geurin and Brent Balch.
