Ida Ellen Myers Rush
Ida Ellen Myers Rush, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Myers, was born at Maple City, Jan. 29, 1887. She resided at Maple City with her parents and only brother until 1907.

She was married to Daniel Rush of Cedar Vale on February 6, 1907. They were the parents of 10 children two of whom died in infancy. The family first resided on a ranch northeast of Maple City, from which they moved in 1916 to a farm nearer Maple City to gain school advantages. Again in 1924 Mrs. Rush moved with her family to Winfield in order that the children be nearer high school and colleges.

Mrs. Rush leaves to mourn her departure her husband, Daniel Rush, five daughters, Mrs. Louisa Davison of Maple City, Thelma, Bertha, Alice and Neta of Winfield, also three sons, Berlin Ruth of Maple City, Fred and Albert of Winfield, her mother, Mrs. Martha Mathis of Maple City, one brother, Herman Myers of Maple City, one grandchild, Louisa Oliver, and other relatives and hosts of friends.

At the age of 43 years, six months and two days, at her home in Winfield, Mrs. Rush was suddenly called to her reward at 9:40 p.m., July 31, 1930.

The funeral services were in charge of Rev. I.D. Harris of Hutchinson, Kas., formerly pastor of the Grace M.E. church of Winfield, an old time friend of the family, and Rev. J.W. Dibbens now pastor of the Grace M.E. church.

Relatives and friends in attendance from away were Mr. and Mrs. Ward Mead, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Minor, Mr. and Mrs. Killingsworth, and Mr. Darst, all of Dexter; Mr. and Mrs. I.S. Rush of Shidler, Okla.; Mr. and Mrs. Homer J. Rush of Ottawa, Kas.; Charles Rush of Paola, Kas.; Henry Baily, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Rush, Mrs. Eli Rush, Mr. and Mrs. Ora Hilton, all of Wichita; Mr. and Mrs. D.H. Rush, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Rush and son Frank, Mr. and Mrs. D. Aker, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Magnus, Miss Emma Grant, Howard Beuoy, and Jackson Rich, all of Cedar Vale; Mr. and Mrs. Owen Paton and daughter, Ava, Mrs. Ella Attebery, Mrs. Eva Mosier, Harry Brian and daughter, Marie of Arkansas City, Mrs. Laura Bowman and daughter, Mrs. Utley, Mr. and Mrs. John Potter, Mrs. Eva Morgan, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Gayheart, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Mead, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Myers and children, and mother of Mrs. Rush, Mrs. Martha Mathis of Maple City.
