Funeral service for retired CW2 Louis A. Daubenspeck, 86, Lawton, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Northwest Baptist Church with Dr. William Sprague, pastor, officiating. Mr. Daubenspeck died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2006, in Lawton. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home.

He was born Feb. 3, 1920, in Cache to Arthur and Thelma Wade Daubenspeck. He graduated from Cameron High School and attended Southwestern Oklahoma State College in Weatherford before being activated into the Army Air Corps. He was a veteran of World War II and Korea and retired from the Army in 1961 after more than 20 years of service. He then worked for Civil Service at the Red Stone Arsenal, Ala., with Missile Command and he retired from Civil Service in 1981.

He married Elna Beadles on March 7, 1942, in St. Louis, Mo. He was a member of Northwest Baptist Church. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Mt. Scott Masonic Lodge, the Guthrie Consistory and was a Sojourner.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law: Juliana and Ty Crow, Lawton, and Jennifer and Tom Brown, Madison, Ala.; a son and daughter-in-law: James W. and Patricia Daubenspeck, Woodbridge, Va.; a brother and sister-in-law: Joe and I.J. Daubenspeck, Claremore; two sisters: Thelma Bisbee, Lawton, and Leota McCune, east of Lawton; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a great-grandson, Trent Anderson, a brother, Victor Daubenspeck, and a sister, Evola Clark.
