He was a graduate of University of SC and the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed his internship in Ophthalmology at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana. Following his residency in Ophthalmology at Tulane University he served 3 years in the United States Air Force in Japan during the Vietnam War. Here in Lumberton he began his practice at Southeastern Eye Clinic and served as Lumberton’s only Ophthalmologist for many years. He loved his patients and as an eye surgeon was devoted to providing the best eye care possible. He retired after 35 years of service to Lumberton and the surrounding area.
