Died from Mitral Regurgitation brought on by Rheumatic Fever from two years prior.
In 1915 the Lightsey family was stricken with Rheumatic Fever. At least 2 others eventually died from complications caused by the fever. The others were Duel and Ora.

Death record states age as 13. This is an error, probably by the recorder. I was not sent the original but was sent the application for a death certificate. It states recorded in 2010 when I asked for it.
Census states her middle name as Elender. This is just southern slang. The nickname "Bee" was a pun referring to her name being Iris, a flower.
