SHREVEPORT, LA - Services celebrating the life of George O. Mouser, 93, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Rose-Neath Marshall St. Chapel, with Bro. Crawford Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery, Springhill, LA. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 22, 2016 at the funeral home.

George was born on July 20, 1922 in Springhill, LA and passed away on January 20, 2016. He served honorably during WWII in the U.S. Army receiving a Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and WWII Victory Medal while serving in Central Europe. Before his retirement, he managed several local shoe stores. George was known for his love of fishing and his tomato gardening, as well as his love for his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Mouser; parents, John Dee Mouser and Leah Vines Mouser; siblings, Doug Mouser, Aubrey Mouser, Marjorie Richards and Kathleen Hudson, grandsons, Chad Miller and Ryan Harner.

George is survived by his son, George Robert Mouser and wife Sharon; daughters, Sharyne Maloney, Linda Swyers and husband Eric; grandchildren, Melanie Hanna, Blake Miller and wife Christine, Steven Harner and wife Kim, Stephanie Crank and husband Chris, John Mouser and wife Christine, Marcie Harner, and Dannette Brown and husband Greg, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Honoring George as pallbearers will be Blake Miller, Steven Harner, John Mouser, Chase Harner, Josh Crank, and Eric Swyers.
