Daughter of John Brewster Smith and Mary Louise Thompson, second wife of Charles Arthur Satterley.

In 1940, Lillie Satterley, aged 65, widowed, was living in Patchogue, NY in the home her step-daughter, Cora Satterley, aged 61 (Cora Belle Ritchie, wife of Elton Austin Satterley). Also living in the household were Alicia Martin, 76, Edward Warks, 53, Kurihcos Matthew, 38, Stanley Pavlack, Gordon Eidel, 36, and Mona Eidel, 33.

Obituary - Mrs. Lillie M. Satterly, 84, of 68 Bay Avenue, Patchogue, died Monday at the South Shore Convalescent Home, Patchogue, after an illness.

Born in Islip, Mrs. Satterly had lived in the Patchogue vicinity most of her life.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Minnie Van Ostrand, of Patchogue; several nieces and nephews and several step-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. yesterday at the C.W. Ruland Sons chapel, Patchogue, the Rev. Stanley Dixon of the Church of the Nazarene officiating. Interment followed in Gerard Cemetery, Patchogue.

She was buried next to her husband Charles Satterly in Gerard Cemetery. I found no marker for this grave. Funeral paid for by Mrs. Lillie F. Whitlock.
