Clarabell Burton

Mentone - Clarabelle Burton 93, of 909 W. Market St. Pierceton, died at 1:13 a.m. Sept. 27, 2005, Kosciusko Community Hospital Warsaw. She was born March 15, 1912, in Fulton Co, to Clyde and Alice Mattie Emmons Brugh. On June 14, 1962 in Pierceton, she married Francis M. Burton, who died Nov. 19, 1980. Moving to Pierceton from Palestine in 1962, she worked at Playtime products for 22 years. Dalite Screen for two years and retired from Kinder Manufacturing Co., all in Warsaw. Surviving are a son, Robert (and wife Susan) Hatfield, Palestine; two grandchildren, Douglas (and wife Stacey) Hatfield, Huntington, and Mrs. Neal (Jennifer) Ayers, Noblesville; and five great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Delta Whetstone. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at King Memorial Home, Mentone, with Pastor Mark Zerkel officiating. Burial will be in Palestine cemetery. Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
