R. George Kahl, 74, retired lumberman, died Friday, August 5, 1944 at his home, 2969 SW 15th Street. He came to Miami 19 years ago from Alberta, Canada and was a member of the White Temple Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Flora W Kahl; two daughters, Miss Alice M Kahl and Mrs. Lillian K Jones, both of Miami; a grandson, Lieutenant George Bruce Jones of Miami; a niece, Mrs. Irma Messler, also of Miami; four sisters, Mrs. Lydia Cammack, Mrs. Mary Vieth and Mrs. Emma Granzow, all of Iowa; Mrs. Minnie Schultz, of Canada; three brothers, Gus Kahl, of Minnesota, and John and William Kahl of Canada. Services will be announced by the Philbrick Colonial Funeral Home.
