Elijah “Lige” Williams, age 85, of Peebles, OH, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Adams County Regional Medical Center. He was born in Peebles, OH on September 26, 1929, the son of the late Elmer and Hazel (Johnson) Williams.

He was also preceded in death by
two brothers, Vernie Williams and Willie Williams;
two sisters, Lena Horn and Kathleen Chaffin;
one granddaughter.

He attended Locust Grove Wesleyan Tabernacle.

He is survived by
his wife whom he married on August 13, 1968, Helen (Blanton) Williams of Peebles, OH;
three sons, Kenneth Williams of Cincinnati, OH, Tony Kimmerly and Sam “Babe” and Jewel Kimmerly of Peebles, OH;
one daughter, Kitty and Ron Crockett of Spring Valley, OH;
one sister, Jessie Pollett of Portsmouth, OH;
5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral service at Wallace-Thompson Funeral Homes, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman, OH with Rev. Gary Huffman officiating. Burial in Mt. Leigh Cemetery.
