Richard served in the Marine Corps and the Navy Sea-bees. He was stationed in Vietnam as well as Alaska and many Pacific Islands.
Richard is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jean; three sons, David, Stephen and James; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday Aug. 7, 2015, at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, California.
