Laura was the daughter of Samuel A. Montgomery & Melvina Moore.


Laura first married Thomas Truman Boldman. They had a son, Estel Truman Boldman, prior to Thomas being killed at work in a train accident in 1909. Laura then remarried to unknown Satterfield. Laura appears on the 1910 Ohio Census, Adams Co., Jefferson. She is listed as "Laura Saterfield" and is living in the household of her married sister Gertie (Montgomery) Taylor. Laura is shown with a small son "Estel F. Boldman". Laura's marital status is listed as widowed.


Laura married a last time to Henry Anderson Griffith on Sept. 09, 1912 in Adams Co., Ohio. The marriage record shows Laura's name as "Mrs. Laura Satterfield". The record also indicates that she had one previous marriage and that she was a widow when she married Henry A. Griffith. Laura & Henry had several children together. Laura died in 1916 from complications of childbirth.
