HENRY J. KOPCIAL passed away August 26, 2015 at his daughter’s home in South Carolina, at the age of 94.
Henry was born in Mansfield on November 29, 1920 to William and Mary (Stasik) Kopcial. After graduating from Mansfield Senior High with the class of 1938, he proudly served his country by joining the US Army during WWII. He then returned to Mansfield to work for the family business, The Mansfield Window and Building Cleaning Company- Old Reliable, for over 30 years until retiring as the owner in 1985.
An avid golfer, he enjoyed being at Possum Run Golf Course with his many buddies, and was an active member of the Moose and VFW. Henry was a wonderful father and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his children, Henry R. Kopcial of Fairfax, Virginia and Mary A. Shanks of Pawleys Island, South Carolina; his brother, George Kopcial of Boardman, Ohio; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his wife, Mildred Pauline, on May 30, 1987, Henry was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers and sisters Olga, William, John, Dyce, and Martha.
His family will receive friends on Sunday, August 30, 2015 from 2-5 p.m. at the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home with a graveside service at Mansfield Memorial Park on Monday at 11:00 a.m.
