Mrs. Thelma R. Ash: Jan 15,1965-Mrs. Thelma Ash, widow of A. M. Ash, died late Thursday, Jan.14,1965, in St. Joseph's Hospital in Memphis. She was 72 years of age. Mass will be held Saturday at St. Francis Assissi Catholic church. Burial will be in Forrest City Cemetery with Stevens Funeral Home in charge. A resident of Forrest City 55 years, Mrs. Ash was born in Beirut, Lebanon. She was a communicant of the Catholic Church. Mr. Ash, to whom she was married in 1909, died in 1931. He was a clothing merchant. She leaves three sons, Edmond Ash of Whitehaven, Tenn., Mitchell "Shelly" Ash of Forrest City, Louis Ash of Phoenix, Ariz.; three daughters, Miss Madalyn Ash and Mrs.Bob Van Vranken, both of Forrest City, Mrs. John King of Ft. Worth, Texas; one brother and three sisters of Lebanon; 13 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Forrest City Times-Herald
