Services Held Amelia Bloodgood

Services for Amelia Bloodgood were held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 3, 1985, at Zion Lutheran Church, Paullina, Iowa, with the Rev. Donald Johnson officiating.

The pallbearers were Adolph Soukup, Ed Bettin, Wally Tesch, Vernon Halstrom, Alfred Fritz and Bob Leitz.

"How Great Thou Art" was sung by the congregation and "The Lord's Prayer" was sung by Mrs. Alice Fintel with Mrs. Verla Hibbing at the organ.

The final resting place is Prairie View Cemetery, Paullina, Iowa.

The arrangements were under the care of the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home.

OBITUARY

Amelia Engfer Bloodgood, the youngest daughter of Albert and Hannah (Peglow) Engfer, was born March 4, 1895, on a farm near Calumet. She was baptized in March, 1895, at St. Marcus Lutheran Church in Mill Creek Township. She was confirmed on March 21, 1910. Amelia moved to Paullina January 1, 1920, and has been a resident ever since then. She was employed as a clerk in the post office for a short time. She married Harry L. Bloodgood on October 3, 1923. She was saddened by his passing on September 24, 1968. Amelia became a resident of Wide View Nursing Home on October 18, 1984. She entered Baum Harmon Memorial Hospital and passed away there on August 30, 1985, reaching the age of 90 years, 5 months and 26 days.

Amelia was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Dorcas Society, and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She leaves to mourn her passing her sister, Mrs. Ricka Mews of Sutherland, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
