He was born to Dan and Virginia Benningfield Damron. He was a veteran of the Army and served in the Korean War. He was a member of V.F.W in Elizabethtown.
He was preceded in death by his parents and Wife, Mary J. Damron.
He is survived by A son, Robert Jennings Damron, Jr., Three Daughters, Kay (Jr.) Mudd of Irvington, KY, Leisa (Basil Ashley) Gaither of Clarkson, KY and Tonya (Calvin) Blanton of Leitchfield, KY, Six Brothers and Sisters, Bill, Gene, Danny, Mary, Margarete and Brenda. Eleven Grandchildren, Marketta Haycraft, Melissa Geralds, Jenny Mudd, Denise Cook, Jessie Willis, Michael Mudd, Amanda Lambert, Adam Barton, Michael Holben, Kris Burden, Tamara Newton, as well as 24 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Friday August 28, 2015 12:00 pm at Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, KY With Rev. Wayne Clemmons officiating. Burial will be held at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff with full military honors.
