Catherine Marie (Kay) LeMasters, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at 11:10PM on May 8, 2010.
She was a resident of Waterford Place Health Campus, Kokomo.
The daughter of George Dawson and Jessie May (McCrumb) Ransburg, she was born in North Platt, Nebraska, on June 16, 1919. On March 24, 1940, she married William Gordon LeMasters, who preceded her in death on December 3, 1986. They resided in Kokomo.
Catherine was a charter member of Bible Baptist Church and taught Sunday school in the primary department. She loved children and spent much of her life teaching kindergarten; along with owning her own ABC Playschool for many years. She loved to cook and entertain especially at her house in Winona Lake.
She is survived by son and his wife, Paul David and Sue, Russiaville, daughter and her husband, Aneta and Kent Hullinger, Oro Valley, Arizona, son and his wife, William and Joyce, Lakeland, Florida, and son and his wife, James and Lisa, Winona Lake. She had eleven grandchildren; Jeffrey LeMasters and Lisa Thomsen; Stephanie Kirkland and Carrie Wiesehan; Joanna and Andrew LeMasters; and Lydia Hoover, Caleb LeMasters, Micah LeMasters, Hannah Hoover, and Isaac LeMasters; five great-grandchildren and two sisters, Cora Mae Heineman, and Florence Lee (Darrel) Stolz.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald, George Dawson Jr., and Marshall Vern, and an infant grandson, Jeremiah LeMasters.
Funeral services for Catherine will be at 1:00PM Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Bible Baptist Church, 2635 South Dixon Road, with Rev. Keith Treadway and Pastor Bill Carmichael officiating.
Burial will follow at Crown Point Cemetery.
