Rob't. A. Houpt, Retired Farmer, Dies At Merom
Robert A. Houpt, 78 years old, well known retired farmer, died at the residence in Merom at 11:50 p.m. Friday following a week's illness.
Surviving are the widow, Jennie; six children, Ernest of Carlisle route 1, Ores of Merom, Levi of Carlisle route 1, Clarence of Carlisle, Mrs. Nellie Schofield of Oaktown, and Mrs. Ruth Warrell of Bicknell; one brother, Bert of Otwell, Ind.; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Abbott of Otwell, Mrs. Grace Daniels of Dugger and Mrs. Jessie Wilson of Indianapolis, and twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Risinger-Kresge Funeral Home at Carlisle and will be returned to the residence Sunday where funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. A.P. Bentley will officiate. Interment will be made in the Merom Cemetery.
