Mr. Eagle served as a Captain in the U.S. Army with three tours of duty in Vietnam, including the Fifth Special Forces Group (''Green Berets'') and as a pilot of Cobra helicopter gunships. He was awarded three Bronze Stars, two of which were for Valor, four Army Commendation Medals, two for heroism, The Combat Infantry Badge, 17 Air Medals, of which one was for Valor, two Purple Hearts and numerous other decorations and Vietnamese awards, including two awards for the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm Leaf. Mr. Eagle served as technical advisor on the set of the John Wayne movie, ''Green Berets'' and was a member of the U.S. Army Special Forces Association.
