When asked where this information came from:
"My info comes from Ancestry.com. Family Collection Data records parents as William & Lavina. Other trees which include Unity list her parents as William & Lavina."
Suggested edit: The definitive book on the members of Lydia Winter McCabe's family, her ancestors, and her cousins is "The Descendants of John McCabe of Sussex County Delaware". According to this book, the parents of Unity Campbell are Lavinia McCabe and William Campbell, not Lydia and Ebenezer (Ebe) Campbell. Lydia and Lavinia McCabe are sisters who married Campbells in Delaware before moving to Ohio in the early 1800's. It appears that Ebe may have officiated at the wedding of Unity Campbell and Joseph Gray.
Based on that Book, I suggest that the correct parents of Unity and Lavinia McCabe and William Campbell, not Lydia McCabe and Ebe Campbell. The McCabe book has proven extremely reliable in terms of family relationships for the McCabe family with almost all assertions supported by historical documentation. Ancestry family trees are not reliable documentation in and of themselves.
Unfortunately, I have been unable to locate any historical documents to resolve exactly which of Lydia and Lavinia McCabe is the mother of Unity. If anyone has an historical legal document or a family record that would prove the correct parents, I would love to see it.
