Survivors include her loving husband of 64 years, Francis "Shag" East of Dalton; three daughter and sons-in-law, Faye and Tommy Kirby of Pinson, Ala., Linda and Frank Hayes of Cedartown, and Ellen and Jerry Bennett of Dalton; three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Charlotte East, Leon and Doney East, all of Dalton and Robert and Alice East of Chatsworth.
Two special friends, Ruth Hodges of Dalton and Ronnie Rymer of Tunnel Hill; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 1997 at 2:30 p.m. at the 11th Avenue Baptist Church with thr Rev. Lloyd Guffey and the Rev. Glenn Boatner officiating.
Julian Peeple Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
