Kenneth W. Adkins, 68, of 334 Richmond, died Monday at 11:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Hospital.

A retired carpenter, he was born Jan. 11, 1908, at Osceola, Mo., to Mr. and Mrs. Frank [sic] Adkins. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Ottumwa.

Arrangements are pending at the Johnson Funeral Chapel.

Services for Kenneth W. Adkins, 68, of 334 Richmond Ave., who died Monday evening at St. Joseph Hospital, will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Vernon Merkey of the Church of the Brethren officiating.

Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.

Mr. Adkins is survived by his widow; one son, James of Springfield, Mo.; four daughters, Janice Loper of Mountain Grove, Mo., Muriel Mahen of El Reno, Okla., Patricia Good of Elgin, Ill., and Kathleen Noirfalise of Cabool, Mo.; one stepdaughter, Janice Staton of Ottumwa; 14 grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; three brothers, C.D. Adkins of Midway City, Calif., Eugene of Vienna, Va., and Earl of Houston, Tex.; and three sisters, Opal Miller of Hazelhurst, Wis., Phyllis Roberts and Leola Alexander, both of Cabool, Mo.
