Jamie Stewart
Jamie M. Stewart, 29, of Burlington, died at 12:55 a.m. Saturday, March 20, 2004, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Born Aug. 31, 1974, in Burlington, he was the son of Danny W. and Shirley Garmoe Stewart.
Mr. Stewart had been employed at Raider Precast Concrete and KPI Concepts. He was a 1992 graduate of Burlington High School.
He was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ. He was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan, and loved playing frisbee, golf, watching NASCAR and sprint car racing, professional wrestling and Florida Seminoles football.
Survivors include one son, Dalton Jacob Stewart of Burlington; his fiancee, Melissa Burnett of Burlington; his parents of Burlington; his paternal grandfather, Orville M. Stewart of Burlington; his maternal grandparents, Harold and Barbara Garmoe of Burlington; one sister, Robin Rittler of Orange Park, Fla.; one brother, Chad Stewart of Burlington; one aunt, Sandra Christner of Mount Pleasant; two uncles, Ronnie Garmoe of Mount Pleasant and Larry Garmoe of Taylor Ridge, Ill., and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one grandmother and one uncle.
