Mary Louise Condron Jones was born in Elgin, Texas on October 17, 1919, to Elmo and Ruth Carter Condron. She passed away peacefully on July 26, 2006. Louise graduated from Elgin High School and moved to Austin where she met her future husband, S.P. "Sonny" Jones. They were married in February of 1940. She is most often remembered for working side by side with Sonny in the ownership and operation of Twin Oaks Cleaners from its opening in 1954 until they retired in 1980.

Louise was a charter member and very active in Asbury United Methodist Church. She was a member of Travis Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star; Austin Assembly, Social Order of the Beauceant; RUH NEB Ladies of the Shrine and was a former Mother Advisor of Austin Assembly, Order of the Rainbow. She had previously been active in the Town Lake Garden Club and had performed over 7, 500 hours of volunteer service at Brackenridge Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents and eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by Sonny, her husband of 66 years; son, Sam Jones and wife Linda; daughter, Karen Matthews; grandsons, Brent Jones and Ryan Cotton; brother-in-law, Ray Jones; sister-in-law, Carrington Jones; sister-in-law, Helen Condron; three nieces; and several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral service were held on Friday, at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1605 East 38 ½ Street, with Reverend George Holcombe and Associate Pastor Diane Lee officiating. Interment followed at Austin Memorial Park. [Based on an obituary obtained 31 July 2006 from wcfish.com.]
