Mrs. Norris died at Close to Home Hospice House in Gillette on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, after a short illness.

She was born to Roy and Pearl (Tallman) Kimsey on Feb. 26, 1929. They lived near Oshoto until she was 8. The family then moved to the Jensen place five miles east of Moorcroft on Buffalo Creek. She attended country school though third grade and graduated from Upton High School in 1947. After graduating, she went to cosmetology school in Sheridan, graduating in February 1948.
She married Fred Norris on June 6, 1948. They started their life together on a ranch south of Upton. They had three children, Linda, Marvin and Dale.
She worked for Pringle Motors from 1960-1961 and then opened a beauty shop in her home, which she operated for 32 years, providing a place to catch up with friends. She kept herself busy, loving and caring for her family, working in her yard and tending her sheep, especially the lambs. She always had a smile and a fast pace to keep up with.

She is survived by her husband; children, Linda Sheehan of Newcastle, Marvin of Upton, and Dale of Wright; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Memorials in her name can be sent to the Close to Home Hospice House, P.O. Box 3011 Avenue, Gillette, WY 82717 or attached to the obituary on the News Record's website at www.gillettenewsrecord.com.
