Born on August 31, 1943 in West Jefferson, NC, she was the daughter of the late Arthur C. and Molly B. (Williams) Ashley. A longtime resident of Harford County, Mrs. Hitchcock was an active member of Franklin Missionary Baptist Church where she enjoyed being involved in many activities. Retiring in 2002, she had worked as a personal secretary and event coordinator for the late Father Joseph C. Martin at the Father Martin's Ashley facility in Havre de Grace, MD. Mrs. Hitchcock enjoyed taking trips to Ocean City, MD and being with her family.

Michael L. Hitchcock and his wife, Sherry of Delta, PA
Arnold C. Hitchcock, Jr. of Street, MD
Three grandchildren-Kelsie, Kaylee and Sara Hitchcock
Two sisters-
Mae Abraham and her husband, Thomas of Havre de Grace, MD
Micki Thomas and her husband, Alex of Abingdon, MD
Many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Franklin Missionary Baptist Church, 2106 Franklin Church Road, Darlington, MD, 21034.
Funeral services will be held at the church on Monday morning at 11 a.m. with her minister, Pastor Rick Wilson officiating.
Interment will be in Harford Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen, MD.
