To many friends in this city of Miss Belle Younger will be pained to learn that she died in Los Angeles, California, on Sunday, Nov. 8. She passed away at the home of a cousin, with whom she had been visiting for some time. When her condition became critical her sister, Mrs. L.Y. Reeder, of Topeka, Kansas, was sent for and she was with her when she passed away.
Funeral services were held at Los Angeles, California, on Monday afternoon, and the remains were taken to Burlingame, Kansas where the services were held from the Methodist church, after which burial was in the family lot in the beautiful cemetery in that city.
Miss Younger lived with her parents in Magnolia, Illinois until the death of her mother in 1896, when she came to Momence and made her home with her sister, Mrs. Mary M. Lloyd. Shortly after the death of Mrs. Lloyd in 1914 she went to Topeka, Kansas to make her home with her sister.
