Bruce was the son of the late Charles and Birtie Cogdill Chapman. He retired from Champion International with over 40 years of service and was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church. He is survived by a daughter, Margaret Chapman of Candler; two sisters-in-law, Mary Rogers of Bethel and Ruby Taylor of Candler.
