Waymire Summers died at his home in Chariton township, at 4 o'clock a.m., Tuesday (sic), March 8th (sic), 1897, after a lingering illness, aged 69 years and six months. The remains were buried at Antioch Wednesday. The deceased was born in Randolph county, August 25th, 1827, but lived nearly all his lifetime in Macon county. He was married November 18th, 1846, to Miss Jane Buster, who, with one daughter, Mrs. William Eperly, survive him. He was almost a lifelong member of the Christian church, and was consistent in his profession of religion. He had a large connection of relatives, and a wide circle of acquaintances and friends, who highly respected him in life, and will mourn his death.
