2nd Marriage: Ann Catherine Keller
Henry Gore married Ann Catherine Keller (1761 – 1840) on May 2, 1779. The following are their five children and approximate years of birth: Joseph 1780; Robert 1783; Nancy 1785; James 1787; and Henry Jr. 1789. After Henry's death in 1791 at New Market, Ann Catherine and her five children accompanied her brother, Conrad Keller, to the Island Creek area near now-called Lowell in Summers County, West Virginia. Subsequently, Ann Catherine married a widower, Henry McDaniel and had two more children: Margaret and Isaac McDaniel. Note: The surname Gore has been almost interchangeably spelled Gore, Goar, and Goare, depending on the generation, location, or preference of the families or of recorders such as census takers.
