Mrs. Anna Fordyce

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon, July 8, at 2 o'clock for Mrs. Anna Fordyce, aged 82, widow of John G. Fordyce, who died at her home in West Greene street Saturday, July 3, at 1 p.m. The services will be held in the Fordyce residence, 188 West Greene street, in charge of her pastor, the Rev. W. Rufus Hofelt, of the First Methodist Episcopal Church, assisted by her former pastor, the Rev. C. C. Fisher, of Dormont. Interment will be in Oakmont Cemetery.

A daughter of Philip and Lydia Kennedy Phillips, she was born May 8, 1855, in Gilmore Township and resided in that township until 1902 when the family removed to Waynesburg. She married John G. Fordyce, whose death occurred in March, 1907. She was the last of a family of eleven children. Mrs. Fordyce was an active member of the First Methodist Episcopal Church of Waynesburg, and was affiliated with the Emerald Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and the Ladies of the G.A.R.

She is survived by one son, P. Corbly Fordyce, of Dormont, and one step-son, Charles B. Fordyce, of Pine Bank.
