Gerald A. "Jiggs" Anderegg, 67, of RD 1, Stokes Westernville Road, Ava, owner and operator of the Anderegg Gravel bed and owner of the New Delta Village, died Monday, March 2, 1987, in Rome Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born Nov. 6, 1919, in Rome, a son of Adolph C. and Annabel Evans Anderegg.

Mr. Anderegg graduated from Rome Free Academy in 1938 and from Morrisville Agricultural and Technological Institute in 1940. On June 28, 1941, he married Marjorie Roberts in the Lee Center Untied Methodist Church.

As well as operating his contracting businesses, Mr. Anderegg was also a dairy farmer. For 23 years he was an adjuster for the Farmers Fire and Lightning Insurance Co., and a director of that company for 24 years. Additionally he did snow removal for Griffiss Air Force Base for 16 yeas.

Mr. Anderegg was a member of the Lee Center Untied Methodist Church, a former member of the UpStreamers Sunday School Class and Youth Council, a charter member of the Lake Delta Kiwanis Club, a board member of the Evergreen Cemetery, Association, Lee, an associate member of the Lee Center American Legion, and a member of the Boonville Elks Club.

Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. James (Linda) Gillen, Rome, a son, Carl Anderegg, Lee Center, a brother, Lewis Anderegg, Lee Center, a sister, Mrs. John (Marcia) Goff, New Hartford, and two grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1 pm Thursday at the Prince-Boyd & Hyatt Funeral Home. Spring burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
