Age 75, of La Farge formerly of Janesville passed away peacefully at Vernon Memorial Hospital in Viroqua, WI, Wednesday, August 12, 2015.
Betty Joan Buttner was born in Mauston, WI on March 23, 1940 to Jeannette and Julius Buttner. Of their six children, she was their only daughter. Betty grew up in Mauston where she met her one and only true love. They were married at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Mauston on October 8, 1960. They moved to Janesville, WI shortly after, and had two children. After retirement, They moved to Phillips, WI then later settled in La Farge, WI.
Betty was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She had worked various times as a nursing assistant in private residences, Rock County Health Care Center and St. Elizabeth's Nursing home in Janesville.
Betty also loved music and was very talented at playing the piano and the accordion, having no formal music lessons.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Robert Buttner and two sisters-in-law Myrna (Robert) Buttner and Lorraine (Edwin) Buttner.
