Mr. James Ronald McClurg, Age 82, of Maysville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday August 31st, 2021 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville, Kentucky.

James was born in Lewis County, Kentucky November 17th, 1938 to the late Marion and Weaver Bloomfield McClurg. James worked for the January and Woods in Maysville as a machine operator for 24 years. James enjoyed going hunting, fishing, and antique cars.

Married for 15 years to the late Nancy Pressley McClurg daughter of the late Ralph and Bernice Pressley of Lewis County.

Left to cherish James's memories are three daughters, Mary Griffitt of Tollesboro, Ky., Noveline Mefford of Garrison, Ky., and Kathy Miller of Vanceburg, Ky.; one son, James McClurg of Eastern Shore, Virginia; two sisters, Phobie (Mike) Scaff of South Shore, Ky., and Helen Livesay of Wheelersburg, Ohio.; and two brothers, David McClurg of Vanceburg, and Junior McClurg of Holly Branch in Lewis County. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive who also will mourn his passing.

Visitation will be Friday September 3rd, 2021 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Gaydos Funeral Home Vanceburg, Ky. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday September 3rd, 2021 at the Gaydos Funeral Home with Brother Arthur Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel cemetery Ribolt, Ky.

Friends and family will serve as pallbearers for Mr. James Ronald McClurg.
