George F. Dorsey, Jr. 66, of 109-A Snow Hill Drive, Charleston, died Friday at Memorial Division, CAMC, after a short illness.
He was retired from Commercial Carrier. He was a Baptist. He was a pitcher for the Charleston Reds in the Twilight League, nicknamed "Smilin' George." He was a veteran of World War II.
Surviving; daughters, Mrs. Peggy Maddox of Charleston, Mrs.Nancy Hill of Brookview Fla.; sons, George F. III of Fort Mill S.C. , and Richard O. of Elkview; sister, Mrs. Wilma Christy of Charleston; brother, John L. of Charleston; 13 grandchildren.
