Found Elizabeth's birth record in ancestry.com spelled Quinlin. She was the daughter of Patrick J. and Mary Ella (Settle) Quinlan. Although she had no children, she was married three times, Robert Buzzi being her last spouse. She appears to have first married Carl Frederick Beuoy 11/22/1934 in Jackson County, Missouri.

When she died at age 89, Elizabeth was living in Mobile, Alabama and she created a trust to provide care for animals through the Mobile Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and the local Humane Society. There were articles in the Free Lance-Star, 1/14/2001 and the Mobile Press Register, 6/17/2000 describing her bequest. The bequest amounted to approximately $500,000. She was a former medical librarian with a great love of animals, especially her cats, the last of which, Peaches, went to a good home with a friend.

Elizabeth Q. Buzzi

Elizabeth Quinlan Buzzi, who was employed for many years as librarian with the University of South Alabama, died Thursday at a local hospital. She was 89.

Mrs. Buzzi was a native of Kentucky and a resident of Mobile.

Burial will in Maple Grove Cemetery in Wichita, Kan. Radney-Belmany Funeral Home on Grelot Road is handling local arrangements.
