P. VANSTORCH DEAD.
Former resident of West Pittston Passed Away Yesterday in a Hospital at Bradford.
A message has been received here announcing the death of Philip VanStorch, which occurred yesterday at a hospital in Bradford, Pa. Death was due to pneumonia, from which Mr. VanStorch had been ill for some time. The deceased was 48 years of age and was well known to many West Pittston people. Born in Lackawanna county, he came to West Pittston in Young manhood. He learned the blacksmith trade with Frank Carey and afterward entered into partnership with Mr. Carey in the blacksmith business. Later he went to Green Ridge and became engaged in the glass manufacturing business. A few years later he established a glass works in Oneonta, N. Y., but sold his interests there and for some time past has been a resident of Bradford, where he organized a company and established a glass manufacturing business. He had been very successful in the glass business. During his residence in West Pittston, Mr. VanStorch was married to Miss Etta Ritter, daughter of Mrs. Catherine Ritter, of Exeter street. Mrs. VanStorch survives, as also does one daughter. Miss Mary Ritter was in Bradford at the time of her brother-in-law's death.
The remains of Mr. VanStorch will be brought to West Pittston for burial. They will arrive from Bradford tomorrow evening, and will be taken to the home of Mrs. Catherine Ritter, on Exeter street. The time of the funeral will be announced later.

The remains of Philip VonStorch, who died in Bradford, Pa., last Sunday, arrived here on the D. L. & W. road last evening and were taken to the home of Mr. VonStorch's mother-in-law, Mrs. Catherine Ritter, 301 Exeter street. The funeral will take place from the Ritter residence tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with interment in West Pittston Cemetery.
