Emma Rau Adam, age 83, of Terry died Sunday, June 21, 1992 at the Prairie Community Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday morning in the Chapel of Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home. Rev Leslie Payne officiated.
Mrs Adams was born at Napoleon ND on September 27, 1908, the daughter of Jacob and Catherine Hemrich Rau. She attended schools in Napoleon until her marriage to Fred Adam on February 1, 1926. They moved to Terry in 1929. She worked at the Kempton Hotel, Terry Laundry Mat, Yellowstone Cafe and babysat for many years. Emma enjoyed her yard and flowers, and crocheting and knitting.
Survivors include three brothers, Henry Rau of Napoleon ND, Edward of Wishik ND, and Edwin of Jamestown ND; two sisters, Katie Opp of Jamestown ND, and Otilla Wents of Gackle ND. Preceding her in death were her husband, Fred, in February 1978, one daughter, Ramona in July of 1968, three sisters and one brother.
