Obituary - DEATH OF BOB ALSTON -- In the Townsville Hospital on Sunday morning at 2.30 o'clock. Robert Alston; junior, son of Mr. R. Alston, of Alston's Agency, Cairns, passed away calmly and peaceably at the early age of 21 years, having attained, his majority last Christmas.

A fine sturdy young fellow a couple of years ago, one of the most robust in a large and
healthy family. Bob Alston was associated with his father in his business. About six months ago he married and resided in Cairns with his wife.

A little time ago he became ill and spent some time with relatives at Ingham with Mrs.
Alston, subsequently, proceeding to Townsville. He entered the hospital at the latter place six weeks ago where he received the best care and attention. He gradually sank, however and died as above stated. His father was with him for several days before his death, and so also was his fond wife and mother. The funeral took place on Sunday after-noon.

Deep sympathy is expressed for Mr. and Mrs. Alston, senior, whose bereavements and trials of late, have been more than are usually visited on the good parents of a good family. Poor Bob Alston was a general favourite with all who knew him. He was a model son and his many comrades in Cairns will hear with regret of his death.
