Darlene Estelle Tomlinson, passed away peacefully in her home in Yukon on August 7, 2015, at the age of eighty five. She was born in El Campo, TX, to John and Blen Whitfield on November 20, 1929. She attended high school at Putnam City High School and graduated in 1947. She married Glen Tomlinson on May 19, 1951 and raised four children. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, John & Blen Whitfield, her sister Ella Jones and brother Harry Whitfield. She is survived by her husband of sixty four years, Glen Tomlinson, daughter Denise Foley and her husband Dave of Edmond, OK, daughter Debbie Benn and her husband John of Oklahoma City, OK, daughter Connie Cooper and her husband Rocky of Tryon, OK, son Chris Tomlinson and his wife Missy of Yukon, OK, grandson Tim Canaday of Oklahoma City, OK, granddaughter Sarah Roberts of Oklahoma City, OK, granddaughter Lindsay Flynn and husband Andy of Yukon, OK, granddaughter Aubrey Barnett and husband Josh of Oklahoma City, OK, granddaughter Haley Carter and husband Billy of Oklahoma City, OK, grandson Cory Tomlinson of Oklahoma City, OK, and seven great grandchildren: Karson, Payton, Cason, Edison, Amelia, Emma and Faith, three sisters Ina Faulkner, Carol Erickson, Joyce Pyle , two brothers John E. Whitfield, Gerald Whitfield and many nieces and nephews and friends. She loved the Lord with all her heart and never failed to share her faith, lift you up in prayer, extend hospitality or tend to the needs of others. Her devotion to her Lord and the love of Jesus Christ flowed through her every thought, she truly had a servant's heart. The family thanks Physician's Choice Hospice for their loving care of our wife and mother during her last days. We are also thankful for all of the prayers, phone calls, visits and food from those who knew and loved Darlene.
