Corporal, Company B, 328th Infantry, 82nd Division. Entered the service at Galesburg, September 5, 1917; to Camp Dodge; transferred to Camp Gordon, GA, April 5, 1918; went overseas; wounded at battle of Meuse-Argonne October 7, 1918; in major offensive also at St. Mihiel; in the service 21 months, and in the trenches 4 months; discharged June 4, 1919.

Worked for the CB&Q Railroad before the war.
Later moved to Canada and worked in a machine shop.
