OBITUARIES

Arlene Stavas Page, 95, of Longview passed away Oct. 29, 2013.
She was born Sept. 25, 1918, in Fort Towson, oklahoma., to William Clarence Eitel and Cora Lee Franks.

Arlene worked for the Diamond Match Company in Chico, Calif., before moving to the local area in Aug., of 1957. She worked at Monge's Grocery Store in Kelso, was a cook for the Longview Elks Lodge and worked several years for Baker's in Kelso Corner Store before retiring in 1950.
Arlene was a Mariners fan and loved to fish - anytime, anywhere and for any kind of fish. She also went clam digging every chance she had.

Arlene married William James Stavas Sept. 22, 1937, in Chico. They raised two sons. William preceded her in death in 1963.

Arlene married Clarence D. Page in Longview Feb. 15. 1965. He preceded her in 1980. Also preceding her were her mother in 1963, her father in 1970; her stepmother, Edith Sweet Eitell; seven brothers and a sister-in-law, Dick and Lillian Eitel, Doyle Eitel, W.L. Eitel, Hershel Sweet, Paul Sweet, Glova Sweet and Frank Sweet; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Eula Mae and Carl Branham, Pearl and Doug Hubbard, and Hazel Settlemier.
She is survived by two sons, both of Longview; three sisters, Ada Shaw of Chico, Calf., Paulne Wright of Orville, Calif., and Helen (Del) Hesselgesser of McMinnville, Ore.; three sisters-in-law, Betty Sweet of Chehalis and Leona Sweet and Edith Sweet, of Longview; Three grandsons; a granddaughter; four great-granddaughters; four great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
At her request, no service will be held.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Home Health & Hospice, P.O. Box 2076, Longview, WA 98632.
