Lucille graduated North East High School and with her late husband, Lee E. Bemiss (May 12, 1979), she owned and operated Bemiss Grocery Store in North East for several years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she formerly served as a Deaconess. Lucille enjoyed cooking and traveling.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by brothers, Byron, T.H., Wesley, and Ronald Mackintosh.
She is survived by sons, Glenn Bemiss and wife Karen of Tenn., Gary Bemiss and wife Rose of Fla., John Bemiss of N.Y.; daughters, Shirley Thompson and husband Allen of North East, Gayle Duffy and husband Barry of Fla.; seven grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Interment Lowville Cemetery.
