Brian "Bub" P. Shelly, Jr., 26 of Montpelier passed away Tuesday evening at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born on October 26, 1988 in Bryan to Brian Paul and Rose Marie (Henson) Shelly, Sr. Brian graduated from Edon High School in 2007.

Brian was a loving fiancé, son, brother and uncle. He worked at Oberlin Farms Demo and Recycling in Bryan. Brian enjoyed truck pulls, working on cars, working on the farm and motorcycles.

He is survived by his father Brian Shelly, Sr. of Northwest Township, Ohio; his mother Rose Smith of Russell Springs, Kentucky; fiancé Kayla Rifai of Bryan, brother Jeremy Anspaugh of Montpelier; sister Tina (Danny) Kinser of Bryan; nephew Kadon; nieces Katina, Ava and Lydia; and numerous close friends.

Brian was preceded in death by his grandmother Clarice Shelly.

Visitation for Brian will be on Friday, August 7th from 2-8pm at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier. Services will be on Saturday at 10:30am at the funeral home with Pastor Richard Blank to officiate. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier. Memorial contributions may be made to donor's choice.
