Maurice R. Vaudrin, age 89 of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, MN. Maurice was born in 1925 to Napoleon and Leah Vaudrin in Gentilly, MN, the youngest of 11 children. He grew up on the family farm and later worked several jobs before settling in Grand Rapids, MN in 1952. Maurice worked 27 years for Swanson’s Chevrolet and 37 years for National Steel, retiring in 1988. He enjoyed to travel and was a member of a clown group, where he truly enjoyed being a clown.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Deloris Root-Vaudrin; daughter, Beverly Carter; brothers and sisters; and a grandson, Derek Van Haagen.

Maurice is survived by seven daughters, Kathleen (Charles) Zea, Marleen (Daniel) Swentkofske, Jeanette (Michael) Brohman, Debra Vaudrin, Margie Vaudrin, Michelle Van Haagen, and Crystal (Scott) Morgan; two sons, Ken (Christina) and Jeff (Tina); Deloris’s children, Barbara, Danny, Brian and Anita;19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Burial will be in Itasca-Calvary Cemetery.
