Nelson Reed age 67, of Richmond, passed away at his residence surrounded by his loving family on August 5, 2015. He was born on June 14, 1948, to Nelson and Harriet Reed Sr., in Richmond.
Nelson was a lifelong resident of Wayne County and attended Richmond Community Schools. He was self employed as a painter and a carpenter. He enjoyed hanging out with friends, going to taverns, and spending time with his family.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 54 years: Dianna Reed; daughter: Shelby Holsinger; son: Burnie Sanches; 10 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister: Sally Goodwin; two brothers: Glen and Joe; and many friends, including a special friend: Danny Witt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son: Nelson Reed; a daughter: Pamela Rodrigues; and a brother: Larry Reed.
