WILBUR WAMSLEY
(1886-1972)

Vanceburg, Ky. - A former Vanceburg resident, Wilber Wamsley, 86, died Tuesday in Portsmoth Nursing Home after an extended illness.

A native of Rome, Ohio, he was a former owner and operator of Wamsley Lumber Co. here.

Preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Bessie Wamsley, in 1967, he is survived by a brother, J.O. Wamsley of Manchester, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Ruby Smith and Mrs. Hazel Piatt, both of Rome, and Mrs. Daisy Dennison of Washington D.C.; a grandson; and a great-grandson.

Services are to be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home here, with interment in Lewis County Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home.
