Brent Brown, age 51 of Plano, Iowa, died on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. He was born the son of Billie and Patricia Brown on February 17, 1964 in Centerville, Iowa. He graduated from the Seymour High School in 1982 and later from Indian Hills Community College with a degree in Electronics.

On May 2, 1992, Brent was united in marriage to Barbara Cullinan in Plano, Iowa. He worked for Viskase, Iowa Southern Utilities, IES and US Cellular before beginning work at Rathbun Regional Water in Rathbun, Iowa. He was currently serving as the School Board President for the Seymour School System in Seymour, Iowa and has been serving on the Board for over 12 years. He is also a member of the Appanoose County Adult 4-H Committee and also enjoyed coaching Little League baseball and basketball. Brent was also an Elder at the Plano Christian Church in Plano, Iowa.

He was preceded n death by: his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Brent is survived by: his wife, Barb Brown of Plano, Iowa; his sons, Jared, Justin and Joshua Brown all of Plano, Iowa; his parents, Bill and Pat Brown of Plano, Iowa; his sisters, Brenda Royer(Jeff)of Centerville, Iowa and Brigitte Walker(Cam)of Centerville, Iowa; his father and mother-in-law, Edward and Marjorie Cullinan of Ottumwa, Iowa; sister-in-law, Nan cy(Art)Knapp of California; brother-in-laws, Brian Cullinan(Louise)of Davenport, Iowa, Mark Cullinan(Phyllis), Steve Cullinan(Deb), Kevin Cullinan(Barb)all of Ottumwa, Iowa, Bruce Cullinan(Cyndi)of Bettendorf, Iowa, Brad Cullinan(Jodi)of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Brent Cullinan(Marcia)of Ottumwa, Iowa and Barry Cullinan of Tama, Iowa; along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 am, Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Lighthouse Church of the Nazarene in Moravia, Iowa with Revs Michael McKissick and Jeremy Quigley officiating. Burial will follow in the Crossroads Cemetery near Plano, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 7, 2015 from 2-8 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with the family present from 5-7 pm at the funeral home. Memorial in lieu of flowers can be made to his Son's Educational fund and left or mailed to the funeral home. The Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa is caring for Brent and his family at this time.
