Terrell's parents were Jesse Robinson and Sarah McDougal.
Jasper County, GA marriage record of Jesse Robinson and Sarah McDougall, 22 Mar 1825.

Sarah was the daughter of Thomas McDogual (1763-1856) and Margaret Brown (ABT. 1770-02 Sep 1847)

Jessee and Sarah both died of consumption. Jessee died on 31 Dec 1858 according to the Oakland Cemetery Records vice 1868 as found on his Find A Grave memorial.

There is at least one other son born to Jessee and Sarah: Rufus Jefferson "Jeff" Robinson (1831-1919). According to the obituary of Rufus Jefferson Robinson Sr. in 1919 , he was the son of Jess and ___McDonald (sp) Robinson. Jefferson as he was called was an engineer for the Atlanta and West Point Rail Road. His son, R.J. Robinson Jr. was called R.J.
