Arlene Barnes, 94, passed away August 2, 2015 at Mantey Heights in Grand Junction, Colorado.

She was born on October 5, 1920 in Payette, Idaho, to Lorenzo and Bertha Johnson.

Arlene was married to Owen Barnes in 1946, in Yakima, Washington. She was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing, bowling, volunteering, and helping others.

She is survived by her husband, Owen; son, Gary LaBelle, of Edgewater, CO; sister, Betty Alcorn, of Salt Lake City, UT; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Judith Ausherman; a son, Ronald Barnes; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2015. A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on August 8, 2015, at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.

Interment and concluding services will follow at Memorial Gardens in Grand Junction.

Memorial contributions can be made to Homeward Bound of the Grand Valley, 2853 North Avenue, Grand Junction, CO 81501.
